CB600
I'm in the process of buying one.

I don't think u people in the US get this.... Even in Korea, this particular model is a limited import. MSRP is 10,999,000won, which is about $2500 more than SV650 or FZ6.... Must be the Honda premium.
Early October, Korea will get 28 more, if I can't get one of that, I'll have to wait until next year
.
wish me good luck and I'll keep u posted.

We used to get the previous model CB600F (called the 599 here). It wasn't priced competitively though, and was dropped from the lineup after a couple of years. I had been eyeing one up for a while, but couldn't justify the price they were asking for a bike without fuel injection.
Seems to be a great machine though; popular in Europe.

My guess is because it didn't sell too well in the US.
The only reason I didn't buy the previous model was because it was priced to high for a carbed bike - otherwise, I loved it. It was just not competitive in the market. The '06 model 599 cost $950 more than a Suzuki SV650S, which has the upper hand with fuel injection and a lot of upgrade paths with cast-off GSXR parts.
The excuse Honda gave for the price was that the bike was assembled in Italy and thus suffered from a poor exchange rate.

The '06 599 had inverted forks; the '04 models did not (there was no '05 in the US). You can see that his new CB600F Hornet there has inverted forks as well.

indeed...
it costs about $2500US more than the other 600cc bikes on the market..
but it does have ABS and has more HP than the others as well...
Even here, it sold as "Limted" model.
i've managed to put 70KM since Monday night....
It sucks to buy a bike when u have a important project to finish at work....
