No flames Plz..
my friend (who built his own NA 12 second gsr), tells me that preludes arent very good for ALLMOTOR applications because they rev too slow even tho the have good torqe. he said turbo is the way to go for the h22. what turbo KITS are out there that you would consider the best for a stock motor>?? a kit that will last. prices>? power gains>? your statment if you have one??

I have a mixed Drag turbo setup. As far as h22a's being a good platform for turbos, I don't think I agree with that. These engines have weak pistons and fiber reinforced sleeves that don't allow for forged pistons unless you resleeve the block. But, I'm hoping as long as I have it tuned right and don't go running lots of boost (6.5psi for me) my engine might actually last.

you tell your friend he is a total and complete moron for saying that.
actually H22 likes N/A better than FI. and what in the world did he mean by saying "they rev too slow"? H22 doesn't rev slow at all, and besides if you going all motor, flywheel upgrade would take care of that even if it did. there is a reason why prelude revs a tiny bit slower than a GSR and that is BIGGER DISPLACEMENT.
if i had a choice between the two i'd still take the bigger displacement (because there is no replacement for displacement).
ask your friend what the fastest N/A honda has under it's hood. that's right, an H22.
H22 can be built N/A just as good as a B18C, and actually stronger. H22 doesn't like boost that much, but with proper tuning and lots of $ anything is possible.
if you put a turbo kit on a prelude (any prelude, any turbo kit) don't expect it to last long. yeah, there are cases where people are boosting 7psi on stock H22's and they last for 2-3 years, but there are ones that blow within a couple of months.
H22 isn't boost friendly as some other motors (B18C/GSR motor is better for turbo)
but it can be reliable if done right, not cheap.
a turbo H22 will make more power than an N/A H22, and there is no doubt about that. but saying turbo is better than N/A for H22 doesn't make much sense.
hp gains depend on how much you boost and how well you build the motor to take that boost.
H22 will also take nitrous pretty good. you may want to ask Laughin2.2 about that. he will not only explain it to you, but he will convince you to get it
it's cheaper than both N/A and turbo, and it can be very reliable if done right.
so look into that too....

Ahh, the joys of high compression, big cams, and nitrous in an H22A. I wouldn't mess with a turbo kit if you don't plan on building the engine. I put down 217 whp and 202 ft-lb trq on a stock motor while having a Donald trump-style rich A/F of 10.5. Obviously the NOS techs are full of **** and told me the wrong fuel jet size, so I have to pull all four of them out and head back to the dyno once again. Expect something in the area of 230 whp and 270 ft-lb trq.
