Dumb engine light
im throwing a code 6, which is the water temp sensor right? I changed it and its still there, so i took the new sensor back sence its 30 bucks. What is the problem? TIA
maybe you need to figure out the problem instead of just the fix for it... like the other day i had a o2 sensor content (code 1) it says to replace the o2 sensor, i put in another one i had and after a while same thing, my point is, find the problem, not just the solution
Check and make sure you dont have a short in that area of the wiring harness... If water or coolant got into teh harness, and one of the wires has a small slit in it, you could be throwing all sorts of codes eventually. And I know that sounds far fetched, but I know quite a few people, Hondas, Acuras, Saabs, ect. that have had that same problem!
And make sure you reset your ECU!!!

i had to replace the harness on the water temp sensor because one wire broke off at the top of the plug. i butt connected another one on and it was still there.
i have a b16a btw.
