whats wrong you cant answer my question ?
i was just wanted to know because the ebrake locks up the rear tires. i figured just launching it high rpm with out using the ebreak but is there another way to lock the front tires? i am considering getting one. i found a good deal on one for 16k. this question just poped up in my head and i figured this would be the right place to ask it but it looks like i was wrong

your dumb dude why would you want to do burnouts in an s2k?? I understand trying to drift but just to stand still and do a burnout?? whats the fun in that??? Oh I get it you want to look cool infront of your d-bag friends cause your an equal d-bag for asking this retarted question. But to answer your question this is how you do a sick *** burnout in an s2k you sell it get a 5.0 mustang + linelock then rev that **** to its 6k redline drop that clutch while simultaniously pressin your brakes.

put it in reverse and back up going about 10 mph then slam it in first and rev it to the rev limiter and let the clutch out as fast as you can but make sure you do it on brand new sticky *** pavement and let like 15 pounds of air out of ur rear tires

calm down fellas.....
doing a burnout is one thing... knowing how to do it is another.... if you have been nehind teh wheel a while you could figure this out on your own instead of asking how to do a burnout....

FYI.......... warming up street tires does nothing at all... unless its a special compound tire your doing nothing added stress to the drivetrain and unwanted tire wear...

um ok you keep prooving your stupidity if you didnt know this yet the s2000 wasnt made for dragracing it was made for the road course. So I dont see why you would need to burnout b4 a race. Plus doing a burnout on street tires is worthless you dont get that much more traction. Back when I used to drag my teg I wouldnt even do a burnout on that b4 a race and still get the same amount of traction(unless the ******* burnout pit was watered then I would do one just to dry my tires I hate ******* ATCO Raceway)
Geez, you guys are a bit rediculous. It's a simple question with a relatively simple answer. I'm willing to bet most of the joksters on this forum don't even know how to do a burnout on a RWD vehicle.
To answer the question with my old school knowledge (I don't know if modern cars work differently).....
You can either get some sort of line lock to lock the front wheels and do a burnout to your heart's desire, or you can bring the rpm's up, clutch out quick, get going a few inches, and quickly mash on the brakes. I'm sure there are other ways to do it, but I'll wait for the more experienced folks to chime in.

Amen brother!
If your racing on street tires just spin them as you roll up to lauch. Just enough to clean them off. Thats what i do when im out racing, but thats out in bum-expletive where if your not racing your car is parked in the gravel shoulder.

I thought I was in the type r forum for second there....
to do a burn out in a rwd manual trans car
1. practice clutch dropping the car and find the lowest rpm that gives you the least amount of traction. You could always bang it off the rev limiter but your diff won't like it much
2. once the tire start to spin, stab the brake with your left just hard enough to stop the car from rolling but not so much to bog down the motor.
3. pedal the throttle to modulate rpm

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
lol. a burn out? you just side step the clutch from high RPMs like any other car.
I did do like a 45 second long brake torque in my S2000. It was freaking awesome. I kept letting off the brake a little bit, getting totally sideways and then hanging back down on the brake. I've done a 1st and 2nd gear brake torque in my S13...but that car made a lot of power. Iduno. I'm not a ricer, burnouts are just cool. Me and my friend did a brake torque for an ENTIRE red light right next to each other (SR20DET S13 and turbo Miata).
Yeah...you just sidestep the clutch at REALLY high RPMs (for the S2000). You put your left foot gently on the brake. The front brakes will hold the car in place. The rear brakes aren't strong enough to hold the wheels from spinning. Just never let it come out of VTEC. It's kinda hard to do it in a torqueless car. I felt bad after I did that in my S2000 lol. I used to do it in my S13 all the time. Nissan driveline + lots of torque = no problem. I could launch that car at 2.5k and it would spin 255/40/17 KDs like nothing and bang off the rev limiter if I didn't back off. The car would barely move.
