replacing rods/pistons
i need a few hints on that topic,i heard that u can replace them by removing the head and oil pan ,but how much of a pain is it to unbolt the rod bolts from there and how can u see if u torque the bolts at the right ftp,any input is welcome exept flamers
i have never done a honda in the chassis, but have done countless mazda 2.2L when i worked at the dealer.
you may be able to get a rod bolt streatch gauge in there, i still torque mine, but there should be room for a tq wrench.
yes you can do it with the head off and the pan down.

at that point why not just pull the motor? i've done 3 motors so far and can't imagine how big of a pita it would be to do it in the car...
not to mention clearances, depending on mileage you prob want a rehone or overbore .5 to make sure the bore is straight. i would recommend pulling the motor and doing it right the first time.
