Default >>03 Type-s With K20a Tuned At Churchautomotive<<

I have an 03 type-s with an 05 K20A on it. I purchased the complete swap from H-motors and it only had 6,000 miles on it. Came in with a basemap from hondata and put down 205.5 hp and 151.2 tq and left with 224.3 hp and 162.1 tp. Over all I am very pleased with the results my car put down. I know their dyno reads high and on a dyno jet would only get 210 hp. But after the tune car runs really good, it runs alot smoother, and torque is amazing, I gained about 40 hp after the tune from 5800 compared to the basemap. Just wanted to thank the whole crew at church's for a great tune.

Mods are:
AEM CAI
DC Race Header
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
05 RSX-S Catback Exhaust
K-Pro

I hit something on the freeway and f**k the motor up, so I got k20a. Got the motor for free since insurance covered it.

Just installed the ground wire kit, seems it my idle is better and car is smoother. Can't really tell if it gave me extra hp though.

what should my next mod be? I was thinking rbc, bigger throttle body. I want to stick with the type-r cams though since its gonna be a daily.

The RBC is always a good choice. 5-10 peak HP just about guaranteed.

If I get the rbc should I get bigger throttle body or just leave it? and do I need to get it retuned.

I'll get it in the future, but for now I will keep the stock exhaust since I just got it tuned. I like it cause its quiet with my dcrh.

nice numbers mang... cant go wrong with a rbc, i had it before and i thought it was choking down my 2.4L motor, boy was i wrong, later me and Loi did some back to back testing with the help of Church automotive, skunk2, and Erick's racing the rbc and it seems to flow great and made better torque than other name brand manifolds. all this was done on 90 bore 2.4L k motor... but yeah the rbc will diffidently be a good next up grade. also keep your eyes open for that composite Skunk2 mani

that skunk manifold looks good, but I wonder how it will compare to the rbc and the price difference.

I would send the extra money for a ported RBC from blueprint or full race. I ported my own but ether way you will be glad you went the extra mile . If you want to save some money there is also a new version of the RBC that comes on the new JDM type-R and you can find it here
http://www.gtmotoring.com/civic-fgfd-jdm.htm
You can also send your TB to maxbore.com and get it bored for $100 or just buy a 68mm TB
