conversion question on 04 to 05 rsx. + boost question
hey i was wondering, did the 04 to 05 changed on rsx's
change the length or width or actual body, other than bumpers and head lights/ tail lights?
Because i want to save money and buy an 02 to 04 type s. plus it comes with the k20a2 and ive heard theres more support than on the Z1. But in the end i'm gunna do the 05-06 front/ rear conversion. I just dont want it to look like ***** when im done. I want it to look like an 05-06 not an 04 with 05 front end/ tail .
I want all the body lines to match and look liek factory and other 05-06's/
so im asking did the actual frame/body changed
and will it look right with the conversion?
one last thing can the k20a2 make 400whp on a stock block at about 18 psi without sleeving

I got lost so you want to grab a '02-04 RSX-S and convert the body to look like the '05-06? With my experiece, the '05-06 seems a lot quicker. From what I know it has more aggressive cams and a higher final drive. Im not too sure on the conversion but you might as well save you the headache and grab you an '05-06. After you spend the money converting itd be around the same price probably.
400whp stock block on stock sleeves?? I dont know why youd aim for a certain psi but 400whp daily IMO is pushing it on the stock block. There is a guy from Houston who did like 646whp stock block but God knows if any setup like that will last very long.

yea i know i was pretty confusing. But yea
Idk i dont want to run 7 million psi but yea if sti's can run basically 300 whp
daily than i think 400 or 450 won't be crazy but im talking out of my *** rite now.
I can pick up an 03 for bout 13k and the conversion i think altogether about 3 g's
but i was just wondering if it will look like an 05-06. not just a converted 02-04
but thanks for ur input

the 04 and 05s are the same just different bumpers and lights and a2<z1. i would say just buy an 05. also yeah an sti can handle 300whp because its made to handle that and its all wheel drive and is weighs more you can daily drive a 450whp honda but its going to suck your gonna be spinning out and going through tires real quick. i wanna shoot for about 300whp in my rsx but i still wouldent daily drive it because once you heavily mod any car realiability is gonna go to ****. and you would be very suprised how fast a 300whp rsx would be much faster than an sti
If you want a daily driven car that makes 400-450hp, you need to look someplace other than an RSX.
Also, why spend the $$ to do a body conversion? Just buy an 05-06 or live with the 02-04 style.

if you want 400 to 450 wheel hp i wouldn't spend all that money in resleaving when you can take that money and spend it in pistons and rods for the stock bore file fit the rings your self and probably end up saving money because a machine shop has to install the sleeves for you and it would be safer. my friend has a 05 rsx completely built on stock sleeves thought but he makes well over 500 to the wheels
