Help me guess time of this "car"
I'd appreciate an estimate from the dragracing experts here, what 1/4 mile time to expect from this "car".
1600lbs total.
Stock 200hp H22A1.
60% rear weight bias.
Sticky street tires.
Very short wheelbase (80") which would increase weight transfer.
12's? 11's?

what i know of.....EG civic gutted (so it weigh more than 1600) stock h22 wiht only dc421 header and stock suspension.......ran 13.3 ....so i would say that would probably run a high 12 if u get traction
what car is this in and do u mean 200whp

high 12's depending on elevation and traction off the line
if you ran slicks low 12's you should not waste your time running street radials.

The engine is stock other than intake, header, and exhaust. So I'm guessing 200hp at the flywheel, which is... something less at the wheels...
The car in question is in my sig...
Are you shittin me. I could in no way put 6 years into a build. I put six weeks into mine and I'm worried about some idiot smashing into me and writing off all that hard work!
Congrats man!!!!!!!!
Yeah in the high 12's to start off and low 12's with some tuning and setup.

Well if I let it down off the jacks, drive it down the street, and it completely falls apart after 100 yards, I'll still say, "Well I built it and it ran!"
Six years isn't much different than what hotrodders spend building their 1930's coupes...

Mate, I'm not bagging you. I wish I was that patient. Probably would do something like that if I was gonna do the "Tim the toolman" garage resto thing. Except for the ability thing that I'm lacking hehehe
Yeah I know about the traction issue. Since it's to be used primarily for autocross and timetrials, it's not really set up to maximize 1/4 performance. The rear tires are 215-15/13. Yes, 13". Anything larger and it looks really goofy on a Mini. That alone will make first gear useless, so I might do runs starting in second. Top speed works out to 125mph because of the tiny tires, but if I'm ever going faster than that I'm nuts anyway. Does the 215mm section width lower the estimated time any, or is that about what you thought I had... since I didn't say...
Maybe this helps:
The Sun Lotus Elise weighs roughly 1700lbs. and has a 195whp B18C5 with LSD in the rear/middle and it runs:
12.7 according to Sport Compact Car Magazine.
I'm no mag racer, but that's just an idea...

Everyone cheats on weights. A weight is listed, and power/weight ratios are calculated and everyone goes "Wow." But they list the empty, or worse, dry weight. No gas, oil, or coolant... and no driver. I hope I'm wrong, but it happens all the time.
The 1700lbs for the Elise is excellent, but I suspect the "as driven" weight is close to 2000lbs. Mine will be 1600-1650lbs as raced, which hopefully will give low 12s, based on what people say...

I truly hope the "as driven" weight for the Elise is 2000lbs, because my car is already 2040lbs. for real and it will be sub-2000lbs. soon and I have the same engine/tranny that the Lotus did minus some mods, but still that's encouraging.
They did 12.7 on STREET tires.
They did 12.7 on STREET tires.
