i think most of the people who have them don't actually use their rack for anything other then "style" - i call them bandwagoners.

why other than to be a bandwagoneer does ricer mcGee need a bike /bike rack on his car to go to a HT meet?

depends on who it is... i take my board with me all the time
and bike with me when i plan on riding, cause you never know when you get a chance to throw down a sesh...

picking up a Thule rack for my DA tonight. not too happy about putting it on there, but i have to have a way to get my bikes around

 

You can always get the ones that are really easy to put on your trunk. A lot cheaper too. Cars actually look cool with em on imo. Check out my car on page 5 of the link I posted before yours. I would post up in here too. But I have been whoring out my car way to much already. LOL........

my dad has had multiple trunk mounted racks and they scratch the trunk and leave unsightly marks

 

i wish i biked/snowboarded more often to buy a rack, i really love how they look.

but to the OP, i could have sworn that the official yakima rack thread was on the FRONT PAGE today.

 

i need new wheels &gt;.&lt;
