When to do sound dampening?
Hey all-
As part of my del sol renovation (Going to turbo it as the last step), I'm going to be replacing my interior carpet, and installing a nice stereo, amp, security, etc.
Stereo and security are the first steps, but I want to add the sound dampening to the doors and cabin. Should I just go ahead and change out the interior carpet and seats right away and do the sound dampening, or wait until later to do all the dampening and stuff? Originally I had planned to do that last, but it would be nice to have the car quieter earlier in the process.
Opinions?

The order that you do the seats, carpet and sound dampening doesn't matter. My suggestion is to do it all at once though. If you have the interior ripped out for the stereo and carpet put the sound dampening down and move to your next step. Having the sound dampening done before stereo wiring is advised as well. It's easier to put wires on top of the sound dampening than apply the sound dampening around and under wires that are already there.
