Default WOW! MY girlfriend just ordered me a scat 92mm crank for my build,

Ive been telling my girl how much i wanted to do a "stroker" setup on my engine for a while.Well yesterday she told me she had a surprise and that she ordered me a 92mm crank from scat! I was like omfg!

So now Im planning my buildup and would like some opinions please. I have most parts already from my previous engine.

B18C block sleeved/bored to 84.5mm
Eagle rods + .137"
Undecided on pistons (Im thinking rollerwaves) about 11.5:1 compression.

I have 2 heads i could use. one is a completely stock B16B head and the other is a
gsr with Jun springs,Portflow retainers, and Jun 3 cams. The ports have only been matched.
I have an ITR,Skunk 2, and a JG Edelbrock intake manifolds. Im thinking the big JG might be the best for this engine size?

The car is daily driven and sees track use only occasionally. Any opinions or advice on Intake manifold choice and cam choice is greatly appreciated!
Im hearing great things about these Skunk Pro 2 and 3 cams as well...

Im still researching and collecting funds so the build wont start till around christmas.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, comments, etc.

with that 92mm crank you wont be able to make power past 9k, but some pro 2's could make your powerband stretch a little higher!

For a daily driver, the Pro 2's would be a good choice. Of the three intake manifolds you mentioned, the ITR would be the best choice for a DD/weekend warrior. Be prepared to spin through first and second gears on the street

Sweet!
Yeah shes got a sister, but youll have to wait a while...shes 10-LOL
I dont really want to go too much higher than 9k rpms anyways. I was thinking around 8500ish just to help it last longer..
I thought the ITR would be too restrictive, but i guess it would make better power in the midrange, which is where ill be most of the time anyways..

Without knowing cam specs off the top of my head, are the Pro 2's really worth getting over my current Jun 3's?

Im really interested in the Rollerwaves from Endyn, It seems like a pretty trick piston. Are there any others I should consider as well?

Ive been rolling around with a stock b16b for over a year now. I cant wait to feel the increased torque! I had a 2 liter before that would spin through first and almost spin 2nd hitting vtec(4.7 FD ITR tranny).
Is the difference like going to a b18 from a b16? Or like a b18 to a b20? Im trying to get an idea of how much harder it will pull over my last engine.
Thanks for the input guys!

Update...
The gf and I broke up this weekend. Shes too immature and has too much drama.
Its not worth the $700 crank to stay with her.

Anyways, since she already ordered it (should arrive tuesday), and were still on speaking terms, she said I could still have it if I bought her this "Coach purse" or whatever...The purse is only $300, so I couldnt say no...

Anyways, looks like im still getting the crank.
Sorry no pics of the crank yet.
No pics of the ex gf either. When it comes in,Ill try to talk her into "modeling with the crankshaft", Might take a few drinks, but i think its definately possible!

LOL. You wanna tell everybody how a 92 mm stroker motor isn't going to make power past 9k? Thats like saying all motor randy with his 95 mm stroker motor doesnt rev to 9200. Stroke doesn't always dictate how high your going to rev. Pyro by all means rev the expletive out of the motor. The dyno should tell you were to rev at. Pro 2's should perform quite well on a larger stroke motor. They will out perform your Jun 3's.

hahahaha Chris hansen! thats some funny ****!

Ive seen some dyno plots where large stroke b series will make power past 9k. I think it was an Endyn build or one of there customers...(the frog)

Im thinking im gonna just throw the Jun 3's back in there (lack of funds), get her tuned and dynoed and then go from there. But if the Pro 2's will definately out perform the Juns(not just peak hp), then Ill get a set after the build is complete and try them out.
I just want something thats gonna pull STRONG from VTEC to redine. After its all one, I have a whole selection of Porsches I can run it against. I work at a dealership. Im thinking I can take most of them except for maybe the 911 turbo,GT3,and GT2. Maybe the cayene turbo also!!!
I cant wait!!!

Today I was talking to her, and found out she got kicked out of her grandparents house. She also lost the right to drive their car. So now shes living with a friend and needs a car. I felt bad for her cause she just bought me this expensive crank and now lost her car and got kicked out...
So me being the nice guy I am offered her $500 to help towards a car. She was very appreciative and after a few kind words, asked if she "still gets the coach purse" LOL.
I was kinda shocked and kinda surprised, so I replied half joking,"sure, if you get me a set of pistons". She asked what a piston was. (how cute- she has no idea about how cars work!)
Sooooo, shes supposed to pick up the crankshaft tomorrow if she can get a ride.ll make sure she does. When she does, Ill try to get some pics...She might be a keeper

Anyways lets talk pistons...recommendations? How about the RS Machine OEM style cast pistons? I know of a guy that has some in my size for a good price...
Would these be a good choice? Or would a build like this be better with something forged? Im thinking lightweight forged pistons, but I NEED HELP DECIDING!

Well if you are running the 92mm crank you will need a piston with the wrist pin moved and make sure you check the compression of the roller waves if you only want around 11.5. I believe rlz engineering makes a piston you can run as well.

Endyn
B18c1 Head (41.6cc)
84.5 mm Stroker 92.0 mm 5.531" 12.96-13.81:1 4.3 21.0 mm 260/85 gm .993"
B18c5 head (42.7cc) or B16a Head ( same cc's)
84.5mm Stroker 92.0 mm 5.531" 12.33-13.09:1 4.3 21.0 mm 260/85 gm .993"

BLOODY HELL!

Is this some kind of joke?

First she buys you a crank now pistons what’s next paint your car?

Never in all my born days have i ever known a girl to want to do this for someone i am about ready to throw up all over my comp at the sheer jealousy of this i can not believe it!

Well if she is getting thrown out clearly she is feeling emotionally rejected and in need of some loving support and she feels she can buy your affection

WERE is a PIC OF THIS GIRL you promised everyone?

This is too good to be true I just seriously question what she looks like (I know I am shallow!)

LOL. no man, its no joke. Im trying to post pics from my email, but cant get it to go. I guess the the little mountain image icon only lets you post pics from a website?
I need to link one from my computer. I read the help section and it doesnt quite make sense to me.
(Sorry Im not extremely computer literate).
I never said I "promised". But I wil def try to get pics up.

Thanks Fink29. I know I will need a piston with a CH of .933 and the correct length rods( already have) Using some different compression calculators, looks like I need about a 4cc dome. Im going to try to get as close as possible and then probably have to "fine tune" with the proper sized HG.
Ill check out RLZ pistons after work.
