how do i wire up a three stage vtec d15b into a obd1 converted crx using a p28
i know this may seem like a dumb question but i searched and could not seam to find any answers i have a 91crx si converted to obd1 running a p28 ecu and im putting in a d15b with the two vtec solenoids and was wondering what i need to do to wire that up. ex. do i wire them in together or what? any help or information is appreciated in advance thanks
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the three stage for fuel economy?
You may need a different ecu to work it properly. Or swap with a z6/y8 head.

the three stage vtec d15b makes the same horsepower but with added fuel economy. It just runs like vtec-e under 2500 rpms then from 2500-4500 or so it runs like a normal 16v single cam with mild cam profiles, then from 4500 or so to redline it screams in wild cam profile vtec. I honestly think it is an amazing motor but that is just me.....honda innovation and engineering
I have heard though that people have achieved 50+mpg with those motors in ef's.
As for the wiring I have no idea but i am sure you will need the ecu that came with that motor. Good Luck
