Default B18C5 engine with B16B ECU?

If I were to stroke my b16b to a B18C5, would I be able to use my stock B16B ECU to run the larger displacement and compression?

Why not? I really don't think your ecu gives a f##k how big your motor is or how much compression it makes. If you want to be sophisticated about it, you could go to any "kiss-my-a$$" dyno and check the fuel curve, and if it is way off, then start looking for Hondata.

I hope this helps.

yes. But there are computers and tuning that would work better than the stock computer. if your dumping money into it why stop now?

I try to do better next time.

Honestly though, there are alot "tooooners" out there who could massage a handful of power out of your motor with Hondata.

Which is basically what I said, except my version was sort of half-***. LOL

hondata is the way to go or you can run crome or something similar. even if u went with the hondata s200 it would be easier to tune and you would make more power with it.

personally if ur gonna stroke the b16b than i would definitly without a doubt get it tuned.

The b16b ecu will not run enough fuel for the larger displacement of the 1.8 so at the very least you'll need an adjustable fpr. The PROPER way to go about this is to use something like Hondata.

Here in North America, the stock injector size for B18c5 is 240cc.

what up teamdiesel... it will run but you wouldent be at your full potential. also if you use the CTR pistons your CR is gonna be pretty high so it be nice to have something programable. im not sure what type of fuel you have access to but i would be worried about detonation on our crap california 91 octane if i had that set up.
