Default 4th gen rad support

Now im looking to put on a new rad support after my fender bender.
When i was looking at it yesterday, it looks like it is spot welded on.
im curious what do i have to do to get it out?

just drill out the holes and take off some bolts?

if thats the case than its easy.. but how would i put the new one on, if i have no spot weld?
just drill a hole and stick a bolt in?

thanks for anyones help

The whole rad support is spot welded in and it is best to use the specific spot weld drill bit to remove each weld. You will then need to line up the new support and reweld it to the chassis(usually the same spots where the previous welds were)

yeah the spot weld bit works best so you dont mess up the metal behind it. but if your lazy, a normal drill bit and a hammer and a chisel will get it off.

alrite thanks for your help.
but still curious..
if i dont have a welder, or spot weld. how would i get it to stay on?
im assuming i could just rent a spot weld from a place?
or do i drill holes and leave a couple bolts in?

i wanna know the lazy way and the proper way.

thanks again

i rear-ended someone about 2 years ago, and the lude was down for about 4 months, bought a radiator support from rockauto.com i think?? drilled out the welds and used a air chisel to get it off. then my uncle spot welded it back on. then threw on my new headlights, carbon fiber hood, and fender...painted the lude in my backyard. saved a few thousand.
