serial number on the motor??
car fax also doesnt store serial numbers unless the previous owner put them in themselves. if u have no vin u most likely have a stolen motor. the only way to run a serial number is if u bring the motor to the police department and then when it comes up stolen or not at all they take the motor from you.

The serial number of the engine block and the VIN are two separate numbers. The VIN plate is green and is just above the oil pan, near the dipstick tube.
i thought u were talking about the serial number? serial number and a vin number are 2 different things man.
in the picture above it shows the engine code which is b18c1 and right under that number is ur serial number. the vin number is on a green plate that looks like every other vin plate.
