i just fixed a nasty rattle, it was the exhaust hanger tapping against the center of the rear sub frame, annoying as hell. i used a propane torch to heat and then bent it away

if you need to do this, be very careful, the gas tank is only a few inches away...

yea its in the front. i took off about 9 feet of heat shield already. i got the dc sports header magnaflow high cat dcsports cat back exhasut but it came with a pre cat so they took it off when i got the header and hi flow. then i also had to custom make a 4 inch pipe to connect the flex pipe to the high flow or some **** cuz the damn header wasn't made for cali cars and of course i find out thats exactly where my car came form. so now i got this rattle, a blown 02 sensor and i also have this stupid venom 400(POS) which claims it auto-adjusts fuel and air and all that bs. i don't know if anyone is familiar with the venom but the LED light is comming on when ';m not even on the accelorator. i hate it all. and really all this exhaust work is gonna go to waste cuz i wanna either get that euro R from the 97, or the k24a swap from hasport or w/e. and for the money with the swap its will be so much better than the set up i got now. but i dunno trouble trouble 10k for a 15.99 on the 1/4 with bad plugs and no oil, not too bad i guess. i dunno....i'm gonna go dream summor now thanks fellers

I've got a rattle that happens when i shift and continue to accel. really annoying, but it seems to be happening right under the drivers seat. Anybody have a suggestion. not trying to jack the thread here!

There's like a dozen places for it to rattle, so each of you need to get underneath & figure out where YOURS is rattling.

Is it kind of obvious where it is rattling from? Is the heat shield usually rusted or can it be a combination of problems?

does it rattle at 2000 rpms or all rpms?

If its only durning acceleration, then get down under your car and put some hose clamps on your cats heat shield.

Also, look back around your muffler, i had a hanger or something brake back there and tickle the frame, it was really annoying and took me awhile to find.

Check your header as well. When I had a header on my car, I had a super annoying rattle. It was so bad I finally just took the stupid thing off...

so you don't have a header now?

or do you have no headshield over it.
