Question about primer color...
Does it matter what color primer you use on a car? Like say if one car is primered black and one car is primered grey... after painting them will they be the same color or will the black primer make the color darker? thanks...
Yes is does matter. If the job is done right, full color coverage will be achieved and the color will be exactly the same as when it was chosen and mixed. Depending on how the job is sprayed, the painter should choose the closest available primer, tinted sealer or ground coat according to the base color. Some base colors/brands cover well some do not, wich should be determained before hand. Light with light undercoats, dark with dark undercoats, med with med gray undercoats.
ding ding ding
for example alot of econo line B/C will have less pigment in it(cough..omni) which require you lay more down or primer will should thru.
that's the only reason why they offer 5-6 color of primer(black, white, grey, red, etc)
