Default UPDATE: Of the 95 Prelude Accident. This is the main and final post of the topic. Need your advice.

Thanks for your help and replies everyone.

update: I don't know if I failed to mention that the engine runs and that I can drive the car. I haven't driven it any where far, but have moved it from one parking spot on the street to another spot to avoid ticketing. The car does drive straight.

Everything that you see damaged is damage, if you didn't see damage on a part, then its still good. I took as many pics as I can. And the alarm works too, pretty much all electronics.

This is an automatic, and a H23 engine SI with 133,000 miles. I'll check everythink again and repost for those who had questions.

I have all the paper work, pink slip, clean title. This must by why the junk yards might want it. They can pretty much fix it and sell it without a salvage title b/c there was no paper work done, nothing filed, my insurance just said nothing we can do since you had only liability.

What would be a fair asking price for me to ask the junk yards to pay for? They have given quotes from 270-500. I also got an optimistic 1K offer, but I'm thinking they're going to try to knock it down when they see it in person. Way down... They all ask me for a selling price first, whats a good estimate?

I have no experience in this. Thanks for all the help everyone has posted.

I do personally thank everyone who has replied for your advice.

Plan A) is to just sell the whole car, since I'm no good a parting the car, or have any experience doing so.
Plan B) will be to part the car if I can't get a good price on the whole car.

Hello everyone,

This link will take you to the images of my car wreck. http://s234.photobucket.com/al...aBlue/

I got into a car accident last Friday when the rain was poring. I was driving cautiously due to the weather and somehow the car still managed to hydroplane on the frwy.

It felt like someone lifted the car up and spun it, as I floated and spun into the center divider. From the link you can see the result. Only a bruised knee, and no one else was involved luckily. Random unfortunate accident.
As a recent college student, I only had liability auto insurance, so I get zero from the insurance company.

So, my question is, do you have any idea on what I can do with the car? I've never been in an accident besides this one, so I don't know what to do.
The engine still works. Looks like just major body damage, maybe frame too. The the interior, wheels, rims, side doors, window, and engine look good. I just don't know who will want to buy it. I called IAA and they didn't want it. Is calling around for junk yards the only option? Whats the value for the sell that I can get? even worse.... repair... prob 4K to fix, so I'm better off trying to sell to someone who needs parts.

Let me know if you have any ideas or have experience with this.

Thanks,
Toshibablue

I honestly think you should just part it out, I mean I'm sure there's a lot of 92-93 pre-face lift guys looking for the 94-96 center console, a few people including I need the middle cup holder, EL gauges/dash harness are in demand, the seats can be sold, people need quarter panels, carpet are needed by people too, sunroof if it has no rust WILL be sold if you part it out, then misc interior piece, even someone might want the dash. Mostly interior pieces since the only exterior pieces that survived were the glass and the tail light.

I would find a storage place that would let me take the car apart. Good luck.
