Default Help identifying this wheel: Regamaster Evo or Rota Slipstream?

I bought a used set of what was advertised as Regamaster evos. However, I am prone to second guessing and would like help in ID'ing any distinctive features that would prove their authenticity.

Info so far-
No stamp on the face of the rim
Centercap reads: "merquis promoda" (sp)
Back of the rim's outer lip is stamped "Made in Russia"

Now I'm no wheel ***** nor am I any kind of "rim expert", but If I remember correctly the Regamaster Evos and Spoon SW388 were produced in Russia, correct?

you bought real Desmond wheels, the same company that makes the Regamaster line and Spoon wheels.

Marquis Promoda....it should say it on the centercap. They are made by Desmond.

I could tell just by looking at the picture that it was a Desmond but the distinctness of the holes in between the spokes. Once you said Russia though, I knew for sure.

So do you know the actual difference that makes them "non-race" versions then?

Are the ones in this topic cast? Are they just beefier/heavier?

I'm not being a smart-*** at all - I'm genuinely curious.

Just passing by as well

Regamaster EVO
14-18inches
Colors: Silver, White, last two years 'alumite' gray.
Weighed a few grams less due to the center cap mount trimmed out. Comes with EVO Sticker and Rim stickers.
Optional aluminum Center Cap Available

Regamaster Marquis Promoda
17-18 inches
Colors: Silver, Gold, White, Black
Comes with center caps.

Made in Russia from a company that used to make Tank Parts during the cold war.
