Default 1995 accord ex help

I have about 290000 on this car. the Speedo started acting erratic the last 2 weeks then stopped working completely. The d4 light started flashing but the CEL never came on until now. I shorted out the blue connecter and the CEL light gave a code of 17. The d4 flashed 4 times quickly. I found out the code 17 is the vss sensor so I have ordered one of those but wasn’t for sure if code 4 that d4 is giving was a different issue. is there a separate set of trouble codes for the d4 light? Any help on this would be appreciated.

CEL + Speedo/Odo + no cruise = VSS

Speedo/Odo = Cluster

it might not be "phucked" however the d4 light tends to indicate a fault in one or multiple circuits of the trans.

The Code 17 from the Check Engine Light, coupled with the Code 4 from the D4 light generally is the VSS. As previously mentioned, replacing the VSS should resolve the problem.

Refer to link below, and select VSS.
