The fittings are for a catch can.

 

Oh, I didn't know it had those fittings. Nevermind then, its of no use to me as I dont have a catch can.

 

I had forgotten that it had the fittings too, until I got ready to take the picture.

 

Damn, I really wanted it too. Maybe i'll just get a catch can. What was your set up? Pics?

The scatter shield is there to protect the driver in case the clutch explodes. Required by NHRA for cars 11.99 and quicker.
