i have a local dealer my dad is friends with that cuts pretty good prices. im not exactly sure if im getting a new bike but the option is always there.
i can get a 07 white 600rr for 8400 plus tax or
a 06 1000rr for 8300 plus tax.
what would u rather own?
i rented an 07 600rr out in colorado for 3 days last week and really enjoyed it. unfortunately i havent got a chance to ride a 1000rr yet, anyone here ride both of these bikes that wants to give there opinion?

what are you looking for in a bike? speed? looks? blah? blah? to me 1000s are kickass but i think a 600 would be better for what i do...track and commute. good luck with the decision!

commuting and weekends. i love the 600rr, but for a 100 less i could be on the 1000. just curious of opinions on the 1krr.
get the 1000rr, becuase if you get a 600rr few months down the line u gonna be wishing u got the 1000rr.
GIVEN,
you know what u're doing and u have been riding for a while of coarse.

thanks for ur opinion.
3 days on the 600rr gave me a huge grin and was pretty much ready to drop a down payment on one when i got back to good old dirty jersey the other day.
but... the other side of me says 100 bucks less and i will have a 1krr which must be a monster.

well thats apples and oranges.. one has massive amounts of torque and horsepower.. the other not so much.
if you are a truly experienced rider with lots of raw skill i'd get the 1000RR.. if you arent, i'd get the 600 cause it's still more than enough power to go fast.

Haha
I have the 2007 600rr, and I am more than happy with it, and with its power. This bike will power wheelie in 1st and 2nd gear if you aren't careful, and has more than enough get up and go to pass vehicles at freeway speeds without a downshift. All in all the 600rr is a great everyday bike, and should save you a bit on insurance and gas compared to the 1000rr.

look at it this way... 600rr I have no problem riding ***** to the wall on the track. 1000rr, I'm somewhat concerned about. I've ridden 1 1000cc inline 4 - gsxr1000k6 and cracking that throttle was like unleashing a raped ape and my nuts suddenly shriveled up in terror...

lol
i was in the dealer the other day and a 20 year salesman who doesnt even ride yet is trying to tell me the bikes to buy with his supreme knowledge, haha. so i played with him for a bit just till i had enough, then i said enough. then i was overhearing him talk to his saleman buddies saying hes getting the new zx6r for his first bike cause its the best bike in the store and the other salesman says, if its ur first bike get the zx10, u will be bored of the 600 in no time, haha
people are hilarious.... anyway i never rode a 1krr so i was just curious how much more of an animal is it compared to the 600rr.

interesting....
my liter size bike list ive ridden is,
99 blackbird
01 busa
bandits
02 superhawk
01 r1
the closest to the 1krr i suppose is the r1 since all the others are classified as sport tourers and the hawk was a vtwin. i rode my cousins r1 up at 10k elevation in colorado and it felt like a pig, my f4i back in jersey felt quicker. but i guess got the answer i was looking for, thanks

I don't count my rc51, or superhawk as liters cause they just aren't the same as the power of the i4 liters and I track the rc now exclusively. I could ride a 1000rr on the street but you end up just limping it around. Yeah you don't have to wind it out but when you're going 20 over the speed limit in 1st then it's telling you the bike is such overkill. Get the 600rr...
oh and insurance on the 1000cc i4's unless your 25 or over is absurd!

i prefer the liter bike on the street to the 600... im a hooligan though and i like to screw around. My 636 provided me ear to ear grins on the track, and i could wheelie that bike for miles, i'll most likely track the 10r next season pending i sell my gsxr 1000. It depends on what you want to do with it.. around town the tq of a 1000 makes it super appealing to me. if you havent daily driven one and seen how much less you have to shift and do work then you wont understand
1k = not necessary in the streets, unless you ride a lot on the highways
600RR = great all around bike, nice and light for the city, very flippy. I've owned and ridden both of the bikes above. I'm on the k7 RR right now and I love it. I don't really have any regrets other then not lean so much in the road. I have 4000km on it and Ive gone through tires already.
You won't be disappointed with the 6, the 1k is just too much man. To be honest, you won't enjoy it as much on the street because you won't get a change to run through the gears. My friends dont' even get out of 2nd in the city.
