crx issues
hey guys i have an 89 crx with a d16z6 swap in it. the car is converted to obd1 but the conversion job is of very poor quality, it looks like the previous owner took out the dash harness of the crx and replaced it with the dash harness of a 92-95 civic because nothing matches up and i have a bundle of wires just sitting behind the center console under the dash. any recommendations on how i should go about cleaning this up as i would really like to get the car started after being frustrated and looking at it for like a month now
I would start by trying to unplug the harness adapter to the ecu, and see if you can bundle the wires together, you're really just goin to have to "dive" into it and find out where the wires go to, and I would also probably go ahead and remove the center console, lower dash on drivers side, and take the glove box out to give yourself room to work. Just take your time and be patient and don't rush anything.

if you do not want to repair the wires then you could replace the entire harness inside.
Go to a JY and get the entire Hardness from a doner car and replace it onto yours. Get the Dizzy adaptor plugs and get the ECU adaptor.
This is time consuming but it gives you a piece of mind that everything is there and nothing extra.

Try to stick to your car model as the wires do change if you go from a HF to a DX or to an Si.
Remember you are trying to keep the wires under the dash stock, this will give you that piece of mind that you are looking for.
