I recently put a full exhaust on my Civic SiRII...but now I get this whistling noise like there is some kind of leak. It sounds like it is right under my cab, but I've already went and had my exhaust bolts re-torqued and all. Is this normal? I'm still running lean air/fuel ratio...

 

If you had an exhaust leak, you'd definitely hear it. It wouldn't be whistling. Well I guess it could be whistling @ idle. Most likely you're hearing something else...wind noise, intake, etc.

could this be cause your belts are too tight as well?

 

I believe belts that are too tight, or too loose, will cause squeeking.

Some kind of leak, check and get under there with ur boy hitting the gas, maybe small exhaust leak but will cost you mad power, especially if the engine torqing causes the exhaust to seperate... mount inserts say hi !!!

 

is it all the time or just when your in the throttle or when you get out of the throttle when do you hear it the most?

 

its not so much a whistling noise, but more of a blowing noise like i could swear to god its an exhaust leak. its louder when i accel quickly.
