Rear Brake Sticking
On my beater '90 Integra RS, my rear left brake is sticking. I just replaced the rear brakes under 1,000 miles ago. I did this after grinding the whole pad down and grooving the rotors with the backing plate.
me. They stopped sticking after I did the brake change, but recently started again and I am afraid of warping the new rotors.
1. Does anybody have any ideas as to a quick fix or a problem area to look for with sticking rear brakes?
2. One more question: Same car as above: The car hesitates or stutters when I start off. I'll be at a light and accelerate and nothing. Then a good 1 to 1 1/2 seconds later, the car takes off. I have replaced the following to no avail:
PCV Valve
Fuel Filter
Clutch (unrelated) but done anyway
Tried this in the Integra forum once before, but got no real help so I come to you guys. Any ideas are appreciated.

Maybe check if the hand break cable is moving freely and that it releases the rear caliper completely.
A for the second question, what do you mean by "accelerate and then nothing"? Does the engine hesitates? or can you ear it run smoothly and the car just don't accelerate? It could be your spark plugs, distributor cap/rotor, bad injectors...

Replace the caliper slide bolts and boots. I believe you can buy a kit from a parts store. Spray some brake cleaner in the pin holes of the anchor brackets and clean them out with a wire brush. Then put in a little lubricant and install the new pins. If that doesn't solve the problem, you'll have to rebuild the caliper or find another one.

is the perfect answer.

Thank you. I will try this over the weekend.

When I say "accelerate," I mean - I give the car gas and there is no noise, no engine reving, nothing. The car still idles like normal until it finally kicks in. The car feels like it is going to stall on the spot. The engine hesitates when I give it gas. Its almost feels like there is too much play in the throttle cable, but it is adjusted properly. Damn car has been doing this for years and no mechanics can figure it out.

Does it do the same thing if you go under the hood and manually open the throttle valve ?
It is as if the position of the throttle valve is not read for the first few degrees of movement and there is no gas given to the mixture.

Thanks for all of your help fellas. I got off my **** today and took everything apart. The sliding pins were fine, but the piston was corroded so bad that is was stuck almost fully open. I finally broke the damn thing free with needlenose pliers and sprayed some lubricant in there. No sticking for the test drive, so we'll see what happens in the future.
I also replaced the plugs and wires which were long overdue, but I don't think it fixed the hesitation. Car does seem to have more pep though now. Well, thanks for the input. As always, I am never amazed at some of the quick and helpfule responses here.
