1990 Civic wont start (has fuel, fire, and i just check the timing belt) PLEASE HELP!
I went to start my civic monday before work and it turned over once and didn't start. So i turned the key again and it soundn't like it didn't have a lot of compression and was really easy to turn over. I had my wife try to start it while i looked under the hood. The crank was turning.
So that night I checked for spark and i had that. I opened the fuel line coming out of the filter and it sprayed when i turned on the ignition.
So then last night i took the timing cover off and the crank pulley and varified that the engine was at top dead center and that i didn't jump a tooth or anything. That was fine too.
At this point i have no clue what to look for. PLEASE HELP

It might help to post this in the correct forum but lets see if I can point you in the right dir. If the car sounds funny when cranking and is cranking over easy it sound like you need to run a compression test. I would start by pulling all the spark plugs and look for signs of damage. test each and cylinder if you find one or 2 thar are really low squirt a little oil into the cylinder and do the test again. If compression comes back up you have bad rings if it stays low then you have a hole in a piston or bent valves that are stuck open causing a loss of comp.
