Default bored b18?

I had a b18a1 I bought a while ago and its been sitting in my garage. Finally got around to tearing it down to get it ready to sell and when I was measuring the cylinders I found they were a lot bigger than the original specs. So my friend took a look at the pistons and he said its been bored out .8mm over. Is that even possible or am I just goin crazy? =x

If it is possible, what kinda numbers would I be pullin? I'm gonna put it on a dyno after I see if there is anything wrong with it/ rebuild it. What kinda displacement would that be?

looks like it was bored .030 -.040 over, 81.75 - 82mm... it is ok to use it as is as long as the sleeves are in proper conditions.

How much would my engine probably go for ? Not too much over the regular price if not lower? Not really sure the price of the b18's anyways. Its in pretty good condition, nothing really wrong with it. Cleaning it up right now so how much would this usually go for?

In other words, if there isn't a gapping hole, or if there isn't a riverlike crack in one of the cylinders, or if the cylinders aren't out of round, then it's ready for a fresh hone and then ready to be put together. LOL

hmm yeah I inspected everything and it seems to be in good condition. Its not out of round and the taper seems to be where they need to be. How much do LS's usually run? or how much would mine run?

Boring a cylinder wall over isn't really expensive, so im not sure, i doubt you will be able to get anymore than what they usually run for. If its bare anywhere from 75 to 150 bucks.

it might not be overbored. i tore my b18b down went to press the rods off the pistons and noticed they said 0.8 and i thought they were over bored. then we went and got the mic out and they were actualy only 80.56mm bore. its just a honda thing i guess. get a mic out and see what it says. i guess honda just rounds up the bore size tot he next mm.

Well I miced everything out and it actually was about .8 mm bored over. hmm Just trying to get a guesstimate of how much the engine would cost. Also, how much would be ys1 transmission, engine harness and ecu run for?
