Well, first you'd have to check how the $13,900 compare in the edmunds.com and kbb.com appraisals. Is the dealer going to give you extended warranty or any other extras?

Considering there was a mint 02 with 49K miles selling locally in CA from a private seller for only $14K last weekend, I would only pay $13K for the 01. And it would have to be in very good shape mechanically and cosmetically.

 

hold off and get an 02 unless you plan on getting a hardtop...the plastic rear window sucks

 

i got my 00 with 64k one owner no wrecks for 13,500 in the spring around here thats one of the better deals but i guess it all depends on the car, location, def. shape.... but i do agree the plastic rear window blows!!!

 

Isn't the suspension a little stiffer in 01 than 02+?
Sway bar a little thicker or something?

Anyways.... I agree, plastic window SUCKS!!! I can't see anything through it, so I never use it. Hardtop +1
I would see about getting it warrantied for what they are asking, or off the lot for $13 including tax and everything else.

they were asking 15,5 for mine and i sat there with a check in my hand for 2 hours till closing time to get mine ha either way you can get it cheaper than 13 prob.

 

That doesn't seem bad, i'm looking at a 01 w/ 90k for 15,000

 

I got my 2001 S with 103k miles last December for 12,200...not sure, but there was a yellow 2001 in Tampa a couple weeks ago with a glass top and newER seats (someone had stolen the original seats, so ins upgraded the slashed top) with a about 96k miles for $12,500

Yea aperantly the 00 and 01 have the stiffest suspension out of all the other years and chasis. The plastic window isnt that bad if its in good conditon. The only thing is the top starts to look like **** and starts craking if the car has mad miles and was kept outdoors all the time. I have an 00 with 73k and the car itself is beautiful runs great nothing wrong with it at all but the top is starting to go. I have two lil craks in the top on both sides right where it folds. But w/e Im getting a robbins top soon anyways.

i paid 14 for mine a month ago.. 01 55K one owner completely stock...no accidents clean carfax...but i work at a dealer so that helped

 

i got a similar one, 01 30k miles 14k
