Default My build: H2b into 2000 Ek

Well i've been collecting parts and what not for a while now. I still need a few things but things have finally begun on my motor swap. I am going to do my best to post as many pics as i can and answer everyones questions as i go along. So i guess lets get on to the pics.

Here Is the long block degreased, scrubed, and painted.


Intake Manifold with all the same treatment


And the b16 tranny w/ ls 5th gear the sameway


Crank Pulley that i shaved:




Thats where im at so far. I dont have my h2b kit yet cause qsd is all out at the moment. And im also offering to shave anyone crank pulley, pm me for details. If you guys have any questions let me know.

If you haven't spun balanced that crank pulley, I would recommend it!! Also do you plan on removing balance shafts?

i has be spun balenced, we did it all on the metal lathe my dad has. Im not going to remove them, but im not going to be running the belt.

Looks pretty good so far. You better have used some kickass high-temp paint. I painted my last motor with the 500* **** and it turned to a yellowish silver color.

I wouldn't remove your EGR unless your ECU isn't looking for it. An EGR has NO effect on performance what so ever. I have my balance shaft belt removed, and can't wait to tear my engine down, when I reassemble I will do the delete kit. And save some dead weight. The vibrations are VERY minimal. I have race mounts so I get some idle vibration but thats it.

wrong section but nice looking motor.... i highly recomend getting rid of the balance shaft

def get some numbers up from when u are done.. im lookin for a dohc motor and am lookin at the h2b i have never resurched it much.. herd it will roll a K series any one back that up...

Welp i just got approved for a 4500 dollar credit card w/ no interest for like ever.. Looks like the ek is going to be getting a lot of goods, the h2b and new suspension is getting ordered as soon as it shows up in the mail.

removing the balance shafts?

i was thinking about doing this swap but i dont know whats involved maybe when i pick up a shell ill try it................everybody seems to say it is faster than my k24 build

Anyone who says that is an idiot.

it WILL be comparable for 1/2 or a 1/3 of the price however. And it's something a little out of the norm than the magazine fanboy k-swap.
