Default Need some opinions on my new DOHC ZC

Hey guys im new to honda-tech, this is my first post. Last weekend I had a DOHC ZC put in my 95 civic ex. Im sure these questions have been asked before but humor me. Im using my stock ecu by just hooking up the vtec to the computer and zip tying it in the engine bay just so it doesnt throw up a check engine light, what ecu would be the best, old integ? I have AEM cold air intake and a set of headers, any input on what other mods I can do without breaking the bank. Sorry if this is redundant but this is my first swap and im just trying to bust my buddies GT probe, thanks guys

hey i dont wanna sound like an *** or anything but a zc isnt the best engine for that car.... if you were to do anything to beat a probe gt it would be boosting it... but doens sound like thats in your budget. how much are you looking to spend?

Well I didnt do the swap myself, I had a honda guy do it for me, total for the motor, instal and misc parts was 1175. To me that is alot, so i guess im trying to get at i dont have alot of money to play around with. Ive read about junk yard turbos that i could do for under 1000. Im not sure if thats a good idea. What about replacing cams and somewhat novice upgrades like that?

1175 for a DOHC ZC if your Z6 ran fine is a complete waste of money .

The DOHC ZC and the Z6 run about the same power wise...

If the Z6 was fine, you should have done more research.

You can replace cams, but it's not gonna matter much, very small difference + you'll need a tune for optimal efficiency.

My '95 EX (stock) was able to rape my probe..but I had a regular, not a GT.

Blew up the z6, I didnt really look too much into trying to replace it with another one. Should I have just put another z6 back in, I mean there wasnt that much modding to get the ZC in

if you had saved up some money you should have gotten a b series and blown out the probe or w/e your doing.... but its your car and your money.

I so wish I could have done that, no way I could have money for all that. But does anyone have any opinions for what to do next
