Default Skunk2 stage2 cams (B18c)

Do anyone have problems with these cams? Do they effect your daily driving?

i have plenty of experience with these cams altho not on a stock i suppose B18c...but in LSvtec with 13.1comp, GSR with 12.8.1comp no problem at all at track and on street... ****, i even threw the cams in my stock b16a("EDITED" but i was using supertech valve springs/ti retainers) drove it from Fresno to San Diego and back 12Hr road trip with no freaken problem..... Good cam for a street car IMO..

If you don't strengthen your valvetrain first, they can....because you'll be walking to work when you blow the thing up. This = no more "daily driving".

these are actually very good cams. I've seen them run for a little over 2 years on a stock gsr head. The car was at one point revving to 9k without a single problem from the cams. While I wouldn't recommend revving a stock gsr to 9k it just goes to show that these cams are very successful in most near stock setups and can take the abuse.

ps. They are still mild enough to run stock valvetrain. Just maintain factory redline.

No.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Skunk2 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">what is required for a Stage 2 camshaft upgrade are stronger valve springs and retainers. We also recommend a fuel pressure regulator and a vtec controller to optimize the results.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Just because a couple of people get away with it does not make it a good idea.

Horrible advice. Lift doesn't vary with RPM's (in vtec).

ull pick up some more peak horsepower. midrange should be pretty decent being the primary lobes on the non pro series cams arent anything big.

I have S2S2 waiting to go into my car. My question is, how high can you take them until you stop making usable power. And where should I expect them to be most aggressive? The mid to high range?
