oxygen sensor?

oxygen sensor?
n00b question but i need an oxygen sensor and it says before or after the cat...but i don't see any place for the sensor after the cat, the one i need is right before the cat, so why are there two options? and should i be getting the before one?

what obd are you and what motor do you have?
Depending on setup alot of the time you only need one and can tune out the one after the cat.
