Back in May 2007 I need a B18c crank. Hatchi responded to my WTB thread and told me that he has one for sale. I also needed some used rods to go with the crank and Hatchi told me that he can send me a set with the crank too. I decided to do business with him because I dealt with him many times and had no problems at all. I trusted him also to buy the crank without seeing any pictures because he told me it was in mint condition. It was also supposed to be sent by 7-10 day airmail which was what I payed for on the 4th May with Paypal with the ammount of $423. I told him that I had a customer for the crank with his engine stripped out waiting .

About a month passed and the crank didn't appear ! Hatchi always insisted that the crank was sent. My customer was furiously waiting and calling everyday to check about it and I had no other option and had to buy another one for him. I thought it was lost or something and could not leave my customer waiting for months without his car. I contacted Hatchi and he told me he had another one ! So I sent him another
$386 for another crank , this time without rods because I had found a set locally during the waiting period.

The crank with rods which was supposed to be sent in the beginning of May appeared in the 2nd July 2007. When I opened the box to my surprise I found a crank with burnt journals and a spun bearing ! That is so nice !

My customer which had been waiting since May got his car towed away and took it to another mechanic. So I was supposed to receive another crank and had to leave it in the garage lying around now !

When I sent the pics to Hatchi after waiting for more than a week he replied via email
"sorry for getting back at you too late. I'm sorry and i will be refunding your money the full amount you had sent. Unfortunately i'm not able to do that until the 23rd of July as i was laid off work for 1 month. I'm trying to sell some stuff so that i can at least send you partial payment. Once again i'm really sorry for the inconvenience i promise i will refund you and if i did you can post me up on Honda Tech as a scammer. "

I then asked him if he did send the second crank yet and he told me "i had purchased the 2nd crank from somebody and had taken it to a shop to make sure that it had nothing wrong with it like the first crank that I sent. That shop kept laggin on me and it turns out to be a b16 crank. I was hoping a different crank and send it out asap but was not able to find a good crank. I have another crank here but its still in the shortblock and not sure if its good still. To this day i cant find that person i got the crank from. I'm trying to come up with some money to get at least 1 crank to send you but scared to pick one up from just anybody now. "

So we agreed that he will not send the second crank and I will wait till 23rd July for my refund.

The 23rd July passed and and I got no refund. He told me he tried to send the money through paypal but they couldnt pass. This is true because my account cannot receive money, only send . But he still could use the refund option in paypal which works.

After some more waiting Hatchi told me he will send me a bank wire transfer. This also never got here when he always said he sent it. He also told me he sent me a bank cheque with USPS but I didnt get it either. When I asked him what happened of the cheque he said:

I did send you a check but it might have gone out couple of days after the date i told you. I'm sorry and i know its frustrating on your end. I do owe you a good chunk of money and i'm not ignoring that

After some time he replied that he never sent the cash because he had some problems at work and he will send them soon . I was really frustrated and mad to hear this after all that time ! I told him I need the money soon and want them sent with Western Union so that I get them fast and he replied :

4:38 AM 9/7/2007) hatchi: give me till next Friday the 14th if its ok. I know its asking too much but ill get it to you before that. sorry if i took too long
(7:20 AM 9/7/2007) Euro98ITR: So you lied to me again and didnt send it ! Good job man ! And I have to wait again ! Listen I want the money with Western Union on that date. Im not going to accept anything else . And thanks for all this. I never thought you would do this.
(7:32 AM 9/7/2007) hatchi: I swear i was going to send it. Just really down coz haven't been working and had to buy school stuff for my kids. Once again sorry i will have it on or before that date. email me your closest western union place.

Guys i'm making this post not to make a bad name to Hatchi . But this is getting very serious now. I need my money back. I know that lots of you know Hatchi quite well, maybe someone can confirm that he had problems at work .

Also this was the last time for me buying used stuff from H-T members. I bought lots of things but I was bitten about 3 times and cant keep on suffering the cash myself.

I will also edit / delete this post if this thing ever gets solved sometimes.

I would really appreciate your help guys.

Yes maybe I have some fault in this because I over trusted Hatchi . I never knew that he could ever do this because he is one of the most trusted persons on this board. But there is always the first time !

And also I some times think that he did this on purpose because that crank really looks that its damaged ! I think Hatchi knew that before he sent it .

 

Is it possible that an OP keeps this thread on top maybe this thing will be solved sometimes ?

The dispute center only accepts claims not longer than 40 days when the transaction is done, so this is bullshit again !
