to rule out weather its your fan or hg.. with the fan just listen to it after you drive it or just sitting there it should come on when its hot....... if not then you gotta get a voltmeter and check ****.... .fo rthe hg do a comp test and look at your oil and coolant.. if the comp check is low you have to do a hg if its good but theres discoloration in your oil and coolant you have to do a hg. if both of these checks show their good let me know

When your temp gage gets up just above half way, the fan should come on. If it don't finda out why. if it does turn turn on look into the headgasket and such like 95_acc0rd said. Its NOT your spark plugs, wires, or anything ignition related.

I let my egine run and my turns on. the coolent is the same color and the oil I changed last week looked how oil is supposed to be.. Im starting to think that its my radiator fluid because b4 buying my car from my uncle I remember his machanic put a whole bunch of water in the coolent so I dont think that its 50 water and 50 coolent

think that the problem?

People have ran all water in their radiators and have not overheated.

You said your fan comes on so we can rule that out. How does your overflow resevoir look? Does it have a black film to it?

I can tell you this, my fan and everything was working just fine. I had no leaks, I bled/burped the system and I was still overheating. My oil didnt have any coolant in it, but my headgasket was still cracked. You cant be sure unless you run a compression test

Are you sure you changed the correct sensor? You can check the temp sensor resistance to see if it is working correctly. Check the wiring.

is it overheating while your going down the road (driving)? on my old car i had no fan at all and as long as your moving at least 10-15 mph it was good. when was the last time the water pump was replaced?
