All 3 are in your car all the time.

Emanage is a piggy back system meaning you still need your stock ecu.
AEM EMS replaces your stock ecu.
K-PRO is a stock ecu that is modifed by hondata to add the K-pro system.

All 3 are tools for a tuner to increase the power of your car.
Emanage has alot less features than the K-PRO and AEM EMS.
The K-PRO is the easiest to use and the AEM EMS is probably the most powerful.

so since you already know that i am going for 240-250whp as a dd, which wud really be the most beneficial to my needs or is it really dependant on what my tuner is used to?

kpro.. from what you're talkin bout you'll be just fine. AEM EMS is more for the true dragged out cars even tho kpro can be used the same way.

KPRO will be good for your needs. If you know which tuner you will be using ask him what he prefers.

Just don't get the emangler.

Here is a tuner directory:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1347699

I don't understand your question about the kpro.
Hondata is the creator and manufacturer of the kpro system.

You have 2 options in ordering the Kpro:
1. Send your ecu to them and they will send back an ecu with Kpro installed msrp: $995
2. Get a new ecu from hondata with Kpro installed msrp: $1595

You see the red "Search" button in the upper right corner of the page. This is button could have answered most of the questions that you have asked so far or at least given you more insight. When using the Search button please remember the archived content is where most of the resources are located.

i used the "red" search button and searched ems, most of the results were comparisons between the greddy and aem! i have used it, i do not just ask questions, i am a very avid user of forums.

ok that makes more sense about k-pro, from the way i read it from your response before it seemed like i had to get my ecu setup for k-pro to be installed on top of the modification of the ecu. thats cheaper than what i thought it was going to be. awesome! more money for other mods, sweet!!

I'm just trying to say that the information is out there if you search for it. Google, clubrsx.com, k20a.org, honda-tech.com there are so many resources that can answer your questions.

i feels u, there are alot of ways i can get the info and isnt this one of those resources, look i am not trying to argue but i joined this forum cuz i can get good information from people such as yourself, i dont need to join any other forums as this one suits me well and i can access it at work.

if i cant find what i am looking for by using the search button i will ask a questions, its logical. trust me if i have posted a thread for every question i have had i wud have my own forum of questions.

thank you thou for the advice!

Its all good man.

One thing that I have to point out to you is that making 240-250whp n/a isn't as easy as you might think. A stock 2004 RSX type S puts down maybe 170-180whp. The initial gains from bolt ons and tuning you can probably get to 200-210whp. Getting from 210whp to 240whp n/a is going to be challenging to say the least. But enjoy the bolt ons and the experience. Anything over 200whp is pretty quick on the street.

thank, i have some plans on what i want to do after that, more that likely i will get a stroker kit from Crower and change the cams, but i am kinda of skeptic about changing the cams, so we will see what happens.

getting a vavle and spring and retainers, does that get me any power or are they just good components to change?

200 from the fly

170-190 to the ground.. making 210-220 is not difficult on a type S. Don't ever say it's impossible to pass 240 with just boltons. It is difficult, yes, but saying it's impossible is a lie. Anything is possible.
