Default d15b7 crank question

Thanks in advance,

I've just inherited a free 95 civic lx from my cousin... but the crank pulley was on the ground. She brought the car to monroe and they said it'd be too expensive to fix, so she brought it home. She doesnt have the pulley, so i took a look. I used to have a 95 Del Sol... same exact motor so if i need to fix it no problem.

So heres the question...

Is the crankshaft supposed to potrude (sp?) from the timing cover, or is it flush. It doesnt appear broken, however it was dark out when i just looked at it. Couldnt find a good picture without the pulley on there to figure this out, and i assumed someone on here has had a d series apart recently .

Thanks,
Jason

there should be maybe a 2" rod on the end of the crank sticking out, where a sprocket an 2 dust covers sit, followed by the pulley and a bolt to tighten the pulley to the crank.

the crank pulley should sit flush with the alternator pulley ie put to fingers in front of the other you should only see one finger lol
