short shifter

could u take ur stock shifter and just cut like an inch or two off and weld it back toghater or somting like that for a short shifter lol i was bored and i was wondering if any 1 has done this

naa.. my friend did it and it sucked. just go buy a B&M short shifter for 50 bucks. its pretty nice.
