My CX has a D15B7 Head on it right now with a Compression leak and Gurgles like a WRX and has no power untill it breaks 4500RPM where the pistons are spinning fast enough to hold Compression, Check your compression, and do a Leak-down test.

Also if your alternator and battery are good Check your Grounds, and Check that the belt is tight.

I did that once, Can't imagine he's been driving like that though, your car won't even hold idle if you have that backwards.

Check your ignition, if you're running on 3 cylinders it will sound like a Boxer. Check the wires for any cracks on it. Also do a compression test.

You'll need to find a way to read those codes. and a missfire will cause your car to run like that. But a good start would be to find out what codes you have, that could get you headed in the right direction.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SpoolD16 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">ok sounds good. how many grounds should i have and where would they be located? and yes i am throwing a code but i can't check it because my jumper harness was cut by previous owner. i have no idea why.</TD></TR></TABLE>

1.) the grounds are - transmission to frame rail on the passenger side, thermostat to ring-terminal on the wiring harness just below the throttle body and valve cover/power steering bracket to core support.

2.) the cut wires for the harness merely need to be touched together to have the code blink on your gauge cluster. If you can't make that happen, we can't help you.
