Default cannaster problems?
on the 99-00 or 96-00 civic hatchbabck. the cannaster located near the firewall and i the think beneath the fuel filter.. what does that piece do for the car?

Emissions control. That's the charcoal canister. It catches unspent fumes and recycles them into the air charge.

so my questions is? is it ok to take it out or leave in the engine bay. b/c the thing that i am tryin to do was i am doin a engine bay clean out..where else can the canister be locatd at?

As long as you keep all the lines intact, you can relocate it anywhere. If you're not in an emissions-controlled state, you can delete it completely. There are write-ups on this site for that if you search.
