How much do you have into your bike?
I've never really done any research on any other bikes besides Ducati's. I'm just wondering how much it is to fix up other bikes.
Currently spent on my bike:
LeoVince 57/60 ti exhaust system: $3500
DP slipper clutch w/ plates: $1200
520 chain conversion w/ +2 in the rear and -1 in the front: $250
Power Commander III USB: $250
Black CycleCat clutch cover: $190
Black CRG short levers: $150
Puig dark smoke DB windscreen: $70
DP air filter: $100
Gilles rearset: $500
Gilles chain adjuster w/ lift: $230
total: $6440 (spent over the last 2 years)
There's a Termignoni 999R 62mm system that I've been trying to track down that sells for $9000 new. I've seen 2 for sale used for about $3000, but I'm usually a day too late or just don't have the funds at the time.

Spend all that money on your brand new poseur-rocket, and I'll still go around the outside of you at the track with my busted *** 6 year old bike

does this hold true for people with $3000 rims on their car and $1500 seats?
also, buying parts for duc's is not cheap. a simple slip-on for my bike still runs $2000. all i was trying to do is see how much people have into their bikes. there are riders on this forum with full race fairings and suspension. i was just trying to see how much that cost them on their bikes. nothing more nothing less.

I'll get some freshy pics of my bike tomorrow once I get my poor hands on a camera. I'd say between 2-2,500 into my bike (including the bike itself
)

Yeah, it does. Unless they're magnesium and weigh 15 lbs each, anybody who pays $3000 for wheels is a f.ucking retard. And if I'm gonna pay 1500 bucks for seats there better be a hand that comes out of the armrest and jerks me off.

I wouldn't go around bragging about all the money I wasted on shiny new parts, that's for damn sure.
If you were really just curious how much stuff cost for other bikes, go to the websites of the manufacturers of your parts and compare prices by bike model.

that is completely understandable. i've been there and can completely relate to being broke in college. i graduated college 3 years ago and am now able to spoil myself a little bit here and there.
congrat to you bro for staying in school!

I'll be the standalone
With exception of gear and tires
200 full m4 exhaust
90 on power commander
30 windscreen
180 vortex rear sets
260 scotts steering dampner
thats all i spent and my final tally on what will be spent on the bike period
i feel that what i paid for my parts justifies because the rearsets themselves help me ride on a better level
all parts on a 03 gsxr 600 bought used
You can have parts, just got to know what you're willing to pay for them
I got my parts at a deal just by being patient and browsing at the right time and place

i usually put my bike up in the winter because it gets too cold and it rains too much in san antonio. i was wondering if parts get cheaper durring the off season? i've never really looked because i tend to have more bills (christmas, thanksgiving, etc.) during that time.
