Removal of intake control solenoid valve and capping vacuum line
Is it possible to cap off the vacuum line labeled with the number 8 from the intake manifold to the intake control diaphragm. I'd assume with an aftermarket intake, the intake control solenoid valve is useless and can be removed with the vacuum line can capped.

I have already removed the intake resonator and plugged the line coming from the diaphragm, so would it be okay to eliminate all the excess by just removing the solenoid and capping the vacuum line at the source (on the IM)?

Yup
Yup
yep that control the butterfly in the intake box in your fender.. it something honda create to save gas...if you going aftermarket intake, i suggest you cap it up, take that whole diaphragm unit and intake control solonoid out. also take that black box under the fender out.. that just retrict air if you using an aftermarket intake
All of that has been completed now, I removed the box yesterday and plugged the vaccum line coming from the solonoid to the diaphragm, but left the solonoid in it's place until today.
There were some electrical wires plugged into it and I wanted to make sure that before I disconnected it and capped it that nothing else was going to be affected.
I appreciate all the help.
