Default compromise power steering job?

With all the talk going around about power steering belt removal and fluid breathers etc...I am in a bit of a unique position. My car is leased, so something too permanent or requiring too much modification is out of the question, like the procedure "dropspeed" outlined recently.

Is there a way for me to remove it in such a way so that it will be tolerable while parking, one-handed cruising, ie. done right...but not so drastic that I can't reconnect it without too much trouble?

thinks the best answer wil end up being "leave it alone"

If you pump out the fluid and just loop the two holes without T-ing in the metal lines, then you can always put everything back to stock at the end.

Why would you want to remove it for everyday driving, Ross? Just curious...

Sort of. I think the best thing for you to do is just remove the belt when you go to the track. I'll be removing my system later this month, somewhat similar to what Dropspeed did, but then again mine will most likely be raced next year. Just my opinion, but I really feel that this is your best option, especially considering your R is leased...
