Hastings piston rings
type r timmingblet water pump and oil pump
pr3 pistions
Shotpeen LS rods
Balanced the entire rotating assembly

ported new valve seal
new valvetrain

The qustion i had was with this set up what type of tranny and clutch should i go with? i looking to daliy drive the motor but sometimes hit vtec.

I used an USDM ITR tranny and an exedy stage1 organic clutch w/ 9lb. flywheel.

Works very well for my app.

I do wish that I had a little taller 5th though. Cruising at 70mph @ 4k gets a little old...

I would try to get some newer cams. The early gen b16 cams suck.

 

if i was u id get a gsr tranny for daily driver but for me b16 tranny short gears with my ls vtec faster

 

99 b16 tranny, Action 1md

 

try to find a b16 tranny. (try to find it with lsd) You won't regret, unless you hate going 75 at 4000 rpm. I like mine.

 

for a stock tranny i think the 98spec itr tranny is a great tranny. i have it but the only thing i dont like is the wjhole highway rpm deal. but for an all motor setup the 4.7 final in the tranny is perfect.
