i've been thinking about some cams on my setup do you think that rocket motorsports m24x are too aggressive? my setup is as follows
b18b1
ls crank and rods shot peened and with arp rod bolts
p30's j-spec +25mm over
bottom end balanced
im going to run a b16 head
profab header
and a custom set of itb's from a cbr954 or a blox im with a 68mm throttle body.
car is a weekend warrior.
are the cams way too big?

They may be way to big if youre not exactly sure what youre doing regarding lobe center placement. And i think Rocket usually only reco's the 24X for 2 liters or larger but i could be mistaken.
Not all "shops" are created equal. Anyway, did you bother reading what i wrote regarding engine size? The M24X are going to want to move alot of air that your 1.8 might not be able to provide.
If youre shop is so great, let THEM pick the cams.

Perfect for M22X. Will run really good if the rest of the setup is good (intake system, exhaust system, tuning).

Redzone tuned a customer of mine, M22x's in a 85x87...made 237 whp. They are a good shop yes, however I think you would like your power band better with the 22's over the 24's.

I agree, the 22's will work better for your setup.....
I would like to try the 24's on the 85x87 engine soon!

Just curious why the M22x instead of the M22xx...wouldn't they be better suited for an LSV? I noticed lots of people like the pro 1 or 2 on their LSV's so I would have thought the M22xx with the larger primary lobes would better compliment that configuration.
