Honda CRV reviews
Please either link or post your own new Honda CRV review. I am in the market for a new car. I loved my gen1 CRV, but had to retire it. At 200,000kms it received no work other than routine maintenance. I would like to know if the new generation CRV is up to par & if I should hold out until all the bugs are fixed. Your insight in regards to this is greatly appreciated.

It depends how you are going to use it. If it's just going to be on the street then it's a wonderful car. I would hesitate to take it on a gravel road because of all the flimsy plastic under it and the much lower ground stance. The rear diff is stronger than your old one (can transmit more torque) The interior is much more car like and the storage you knew in your old cr-v is now gone. The spare lives on the inside and all of the secret storage spots are gone.
It handles great and is definitely a road only vehicle.
If none of that bothers you then I would advise you to get it. We have had very few problems with them and they have been very reliable so far.

i looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooove mine.
I got rid of my navi tsx for a new cr-v and have loved every minute of it. on the street this crossover/wagon/suv whatever you want to call it rocks.
as for offroad, its not a "offroad"car but i guess if you had to travel down the occasional gravel road-dry dirt roads-beach-going campingetc it is great. just dont expect it to get down and dirty and you wont be let down.
but i honestly cant find anything to complain about, well except i cant find anyone who sells japanese headlamps and mirrors lol.

I would never take it out on the sand. You are guaranteed to loose half of the plastic splash shields, get high centered, or rip out the evap canister. I did that on my mom's 04, and the new style is even lower and flimsier. Don't do it! If you want one to take offroad get a 1st generation. There is even a lift kit for it.

I like them a ton better than the second gens! More knee room for the driver, and when I jump in and out of them everyday my knee isnt casing the damn e-brake!
