My starter wont engage to my flywheel on my 97 prelude type sh. The flywheel was replaced with an aftermarket stock replacement because when I got the car it was in pieces and didn't have a flywheel. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a spacer between the flywheel and the crank? I have checked the starter and it works fine, it just doesn't engage to the flywheel.

 

bad starter that bench tested fine but when a load was put on the gear it would freewheel.
