Default Has anybody had this happen to them?

My 95' Accord started making a loud noise like I have an exhaust or something out of nowhere. So I checked the header, & the part where the pipe bolts on to the header, one bolt was missing, and the other two were completely loose. I don't think that is normal, it drove fine for several months before that with no problems. I wonder if someone had a custom header on there & didn't bolt it back on properly.

my kamikaze use to toss bolts all the time, so i went and got some 1.5" long stainless bolts with lock washers and nuts, and has been fine for the past 6 months

I had it happen to me on my '90 Accord.I had to drive around for a day like that.It blew the gasket out between my header and A pipe.It sounded like a go-kart/airplane.

yeah i used to burn them cheap-*** gaskets all the time before i started using copper o-ring collector gaskets (3 bolt) if you dont have that style of header like kamikaze (3 bolt triangle 2.5") get sheet of the mr gasket perma-seal? stuff and cut a new one, its hard, to cut but it will do the job

It isn't a big deal, I fixed it already, I just wanted to see if it was a common problem.

I think it's more common for those suckers to rust and seize than come loose.
