This guy sold me his D16Z6... With 3 Spun Main Bearings. I asked him before i bought it if it ran good? If it had any noises, if it had any headgasket issues? He said it ran great, nothing wrong with it.

Well i bought a engine from him... Asked him if everything was good.. No blown headgasket, no noises no major issues.... He said it ran perfectly and he just took the engine out cause he was doing a swap. As we were leaving he asked; So, when are you going to take it apart? I: Tonight. Well i didnt think anything of it. Drove 45 miles to the shop from his home and tore it apart to find something interesting. We found a NUT and a Sh*T ton of metal shavings stuck to the oil pump screen/filter. And then pulled the main cap/s off to find 3 spun main bearings. One was so bad that it was pretty much welded to the crank. I had to pry it off with a screwdriver.
So i called him about 3 times and no answer. So we load everything back up in the truck all in pieces and drive 45 miles back to his house. I rang the doorbell a few times. no answer. I call his home phone. No answer. So i wait...Then the door opens. His wife/girlfriend/mother opens the door and i explain to her that the motor was no good. 5 minutes later he comes out saying its in good shape.. But it might have been a little loose but just needing some work. Like piston rings and bearings. So i show him the damaged block and he still says it ran fine and he never heard anything that wasn't normal.
End result I got my money back. And i thank him for that.
But still say no matter what.... That the engine had to been KNOCKING HARD FUC*ING CORE!

Wow bro for you to go ahead and put it all out there like you did was wrong. I completely felt bad that the motor had what it did because I am straight up. The First thing I told you was, "let me go get you back your money" Seriously the motor made no noises and I thought was good enough to sale. I guess it wasnt and I Apologized at least 5 times for it...not to mention the free parts I gave you that you said you did not even need. Once again I am sorry and I hope this does not give me a bad name on this forum.

How was this wrong? What was wrong was me having to spend an extra 2 hours of my time dealing with a junk motor. What was wrong was i used $33.00 in gas from when i picked it up went to the shop, went back out there, and came back to the shop. Not to mention to take the engine apart, and finding 3 spun main bearings. one set of main bearings were literally melted to the crank. To the point the oil hole on the bearing was no longer visable. The groove thats in the bearing for the oil to travel was no longer there.
I wish i would have taken pictures just to show you guys how f-ed this motor was just to proove he knew something was wrong. But i picked up the nut that was in the oil pan STUCK to the OIL pickup tube screen and when i did the remains of the bearings stuck to my finger. So i grabbed a towel and put the nut in it all wrapped up and it my pocket to go. I forgot to show him when we showed back up at his house. This morning i took a picture.

"portenio78" You hope this doesn't give you a bad name on this forum. Well maybe you should have been upfront with me. Dont even say you didnt hear any noise.... Cause when you asked me to come to your house later in the day, and the oil pan bolts/nuts were ALL Loose.. This tells me you checked it out. You wanted to take a peek.

I have mixed feelings about this, because he did man up and give you your money back, and evidently very quickly.
I will leave your comments visible and let people make up their own minds about whether or not your comments are worth considering when deciding whether or not to deal with this person.
An analysis of your comments would lead most casual observers to believe that the seller did what he was supposed to do, and one wonders why, in view of that, you would trouble yourself with posting the details.
But we'll leave them visible for the erstwhile purchasers to make up their own minds.
