Ducati 748 Electrical Mishap (need help)
Do you have a schematic for the 748? Sounds like you blew a fuse somewhere in the turnsignal circuit. I bought my bike without signals, and I have been through similar issues trying to get it wired up.
You won't need to replace your wiring harness, the wires won't burn up unless you put them through some serious stress. I'd guess you either blew a fuse somewhere in the circuit, or blew out one of your turn signals.

I have a Haynes manual, not sure if that will be of any help. But I did see two relays under the seat so I might see about getting a multimeter to check those out.
How much are relays like that?
Any other ideas?

It really sounds like you blew a fuse somewhere that hasn't been checked yet; I remember mine having them in all sorts of sneaky places. The two relays in the tail by the ecu aren't for lighting if I remember right (if they were the ones you are referring to). I'll look at my manual in a while to see if I can think of anything.
I see. I mean do you think the fuses will be in or around the tail section? Or will I need to take off the side fairings and dig through there as well?
The relays you speak of are the ones I'm talking about, so I guess I don't need to worry about those.
I will start looking around for more fuses to see if any of them are blown.

Like I said, I only checked the two fuses I saw immediately, I didn't check every single one, I got mad and just said expletive it and put the bike up for the day.

i did the same thing when i repalced the ugly turn signals on my Monster. I blew a fuse in the main fuse box.
For sure thats what you did. Where the main fuse box is on a 748, beats me lol

it's safe to say the bulbs didn't blow from this mishap as the current would rather go straight to ground as opposed to through a filament. so my guess is fuse. if you can't find a manual just remove the fairings or do nothing.

I think there's a Ducati recall on fuses.
