I welded the holes and bondoed and puttied it. that took the longest, to prep and get that line straight.

any warping of the metal? i would love to be able to do this myself. how long did it take you?

the metal did warp a little, that wasn't a big problem. The hardest part was grinding down the welds. I used a flux cord .035" wire and a 4 1/2" angle grinder to grind the welds down. The angle grinder wasn't a good tool cause it spins way too fast and its hard to control. I shaved some of the line off on accident and had to remake it with the bondo. I had to block the car 3 times and its still a little wavy. it took about 5 hrs to weld and grind all the holes. The welder kept burning a hole in the door skin since its so thin. It took another 6 hrs to bondo, block, primer, and putty the holes. Total I spent about 50-60 hrs to do the conversion and paint the car.
